Boncoura

Boncoura is a Japanese clothing brand founded by designer Hisashi Morishima, who has studied and worn vintage garments from a young age, developing a deep understanding of historical clothing and traditional manufacturing.

Garments are produced in Japan with a focus on fabric development, construction and hardware, often using materials developed specifically for the brand.

The name combines the French phrase bon courage (“do your best”) with the Japanese word bonkura, referring to someone who follows their own beliefs.
